This French corner cabinet was made in Paris around 1880 in the refined Louis XVI style. The piece is crafted from walnut, fruitwood and beautifully figured root wood, arranged in an elegant veneer pattern that highlights the geometric structure of the design. The top is fitted with a white marble plate that gives the cabinet a light and classical presence. On the back and beneath the marble, the piece is stamped with the workshop marking of “Curiosités Hopilliart, Rue des Sts Pères 12, Paris”, indicating a respected Parisian maker known for high-quality furniture and bronzes. The brass fittings and the shaped plinth complete the characteristic look. The cabinet has been carefully restored and shows a warm, rich surface with clear details, making it an attractive accent for both traditional and modern interiors.
