About the Item

This antique Swedish credenza was hand-crafted in the 19th Century from elm wood. The elegance of the woodwork, with its Gustavian style restraint, contrasts with the wood's weathered textures. Intentionally distressed or as a result of age, the surfaces of the credenza show remnants of paint layers, like a beautiful palimpsest revealing the history of its making. Smooth lines and rounded corners characterize the overall soft look. Structurally, this credenza has two hinged doors that open to a wide interior storage space. The doors come with functioning keys and locks. We have additional photos we can provide, upon request. Feel free to reach out.  Dimensions: 72.5 in. width 27 in. depth 34.5 in. height Condition notes: In overall good condition and structurally sound. General surface wear, like scratches and dents to the wood, all consistent with the credenza's age and use. The distressed look adds to the value, style, and character of the credenza.
