About the Item

Available today, this magnificent Mid-Century Modern Credenza in Caviuna Hardwood designed by Forma Moveis in Brazil during the sixties decade is absolutely gorgeous! The piece is entirely made of Caviuna hardwood and features five doors with brass finishes, eight compartments and four drawers resting on four hardwood legs. The piece has been carefully refinished and besides the marks of age the piece is in excellent condition. This effortlessly sleek buffet can blend into almost any type of contemporary, mid-century modern, boho chic, or modern environment. A beautiful piece like this, will add a touch of mid-century modern swagger to any home! Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) were the primary designers for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. They are most known for well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production is far more complex, handcrafted, and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950 1960’s in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed. Their narrative spans four countries (Italy, Austria, Brazil, and Argentina) and several decades and their exceptional works are already highly sought-after examples of the vibrant modern design movement in Latin America.
