About the Item
An incredible, eye-catching example of Dutch Post-Modernism, this asymmetric sideboard was designed by the Castelijn company in 1987. It is a striking example of the forward-looking pieces that defined the company's output during this period, blending bold design with a heavy, quality build.
The credenza is comprised of a white laminate-covered cabinet set on three black enameled metal legs, creating a dynamic visual contrast. Its generous surface width of 85 inches makes it a substantial piece, while integrated cutouts for cords make it ideal for use as a modern entertainment unit. It has an 11.75" clearance, and doors open to a depth of 46".
The cabinet is in good original condition with some visible wear consistent with its age and use. The wear attests to the enduring quality of its craftsmanship.
