Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Triple Dresser by Broyhill
By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy originals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. This tall stack of sunburst yellow drawers looks like LEGO come time life. Exciting, bold yet practical, these deep drawers can hold heaps of stuff. The restoration team pulled no punches on this Chapter One Green Dresser, and the end result exceeded our expectations. The entire body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Dresser employs the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright green plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. The cabinet is supported by a white lacquered, curved plinth base that compliments the overall form of the dresser. Nine drawers roll-out on metal glides that have been adjusted and oiled to allow for easy functionality, and proper spacing. This colorful, curvaceous case-good could have blended in nicely on the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The space-age look has never been more desirable, which may help explain the recent scarcity of all things Chapter One. Complete your green Chapter one bedroom set with the high dresser and nightstand (sold separately). We also have matching pieces including a yellow double dresser, yellow nightstand...

With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Nightstand by Broyhill Premier
By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
The body and base have been fully refinished: wood structure sanded, primed, and painted in a bright white lacquer that revives the crisp contrast so loved in the Chapter One line. The two drawer fronts are original molded plastic in dark lime green, their injection-formed curves and original texture preserved. The laminate top has been buffed to a high gloss, reflecting ambient light and amplifying the piece’s sculptural surfaces. Wear is minimal and respectful: the green plastic doors show some minor imperfections consistent with age, visible only under close inspection; the laminate top bears very light surface scuffing — again, only where someone might lean or set objects. Overall condition is very good, showing both testament to its vintage roots and clarity of restoration. This is more than a small bedside piece — it’s a design icon in microcosm. Its plastic mold fronts and chromed or gloss accents evoke the work of designers like Raymond Loewy, whose influence underpins much of Broyhill’s Chapter One line. The curves, gloss, and contrast make it ideal to pair with stark modern furnishings, mirrored or chrome accessories, or rooms that lean toward graphic color. Collectors drawn to landmark production furniture, futuristic plastic mold work, or anything in the rarified orbit of Space Age vintage will recognize this piece’s rarity: a well-restored original drawer front, clean structural form, and color contrast that still feels playful and confident. Well it’s 2025, and Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy orginals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this nightstand, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the wood body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. It’s tough to see these go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Nightstand...

Raymond Loewy DF-2000 Orange Plastic Drawer Media Cabinet Credenza
By Raymond Loewy
Located in Chattanooga, TN
A visionary convergence of mid-century modern elegance and Space Age daring, this Raymond Loewy DF-2000 media cabinet is more than a functional storage solution—it is a sculptural manifesto. Conceived in the late 1960s by Loewy’s Paris-based design studio, Compagnie de l’Esthétique Industrielle (CEI), and brought to life by Doubinsky Frères in France, this iconic credenza embodies the era’s bold experimentation in material, form, and color. It channels the futurist spirit while celebrating Loewy’s industrial design genius, enshrined in objects as varied as Air Force One’s livery and the Coca-Cola bottle. Its presence radiates visual energy through a front-facing array of injection-molded plastic drawer fronts, their pop-art hues graduating effortlessly from vibrant orange to red—a striking signature of the DF-2000 line’s forward-thinking palette. Each drawer front, polished to a glass-like sheen, rests gracefully within the restored dark mocha of the case’s doors and side panels, which have been meticulously repainted to harmonize with Loewy’s intended contrasts. Even the back panel, preserved in its original state, bears witness to the piece’s integrity and its 360-degree appeal. The DF-2000 line’s innovative spirit shines through in its modular functionality: Loewy applied automotive-inspired efficiency, designing interchangeable doors and drawers that could be easily refreshed or reconfigured—anticipating the modern appetite for personalization. This particular cabinet, restored with precision and devotion, reveals not just a surface sheen but a rebirth of structural poise and sleek durability, while maintaining the tactile integrity of its materials. In scale and stance, this credenza commands attention; a specimen both of sculpted form and practical elegance. Its presence grounds a room, yet it uplifts it—each drawer, each surface, a deliberate articulation of mid-century ambition: to transcend mere furniture and become an icon of tomorrow’s aesthetic. For the discerning collector, interior designer, or enthusiast of design heritage, this Raymond Loewy DF-2000 media cabinet offers more than storage—it delivers a narrative, a technical feat, and a cultural artifact reanimated through conscientious restoration and timeless design. The restoration team pulled no punches on this authentic Raymond Loewy Media Cabinet Credenza, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the wood doors and side panels were re-painted to match the original dark mocha color. The back panel was in very good condition, so we left it original. As you can see, this unit is fully finished on the back and attractive from every direction. The orange, infection molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. The cabinet is supported by a brand new plinth base that we fabricated in our workshop. It's painted black to match the original. Except this time, we used solid pine instead of composite material. Lastly, we covered the painted white top with a sheet of white laminate to increase durability and practicality. No need to worry about water marks and scratches with this new top. The industrial strength Formica is also ideal for TV and stereo components...
