About the Item
Ramón is a credenza, a horizontal storage unit with a distinctive shape that gives it a concave surface. On the front, it has 4 doors, while inside it houses a pair of drawers and shelves for organizing objects.
Ramón's body is covered with rattan fiber and its doors are made of solid huanacaxaxtle wood, while the legs are lined with sisal fiber. In the center, it has four handles made of turned carbon steel bar.
During the experimentation process, we discovered a texture formed by vertical stripes generated by striking the wood with the head of a metal file. We decided to apply this technique to create a captivating weave on Ramon's doors. In addition, the weave of the body leaves the corners exposed, giving rise to a peculiar elbow shape that stands out from the rest of the furniture.

Comite de Proyectos
Comité de Proyectos is a Mexico City–based design studio founded in 2014 by Andrea Flores and Lucía Soto. We design furniture collections and interior projects, guided by a simple belief: design should accompany real life. For us, design is not only about form or function. A well-designed object or space should evoke presence, connection, and a sense of belonging. It should integrate naturally into everyday life—never impose itself. Our work is rooted in materiality and craft. We collaborate closely with local workshops and specialized artisans, working with natural materials and time-honored techniques. Each piece is developed with care and intention, allowing quality, durability, and meaning to mature. Every collection carries a narrative. Beyond solving functional needs, our pieces tell stories—of the hands that made them, the materials they come from, and the relationships they enable within a space. This approach has led our work to be exhibited in museums, galleries, and design fairs in Mexico and abroad. From sculptural objects to functional furniture for residential and commercial environments, our practice moves between the emotional and the practical, the artisanal and the contemporary. We design with attention, restraint, and depth—creating pieces meant to be lived with, over time.

Flow Modern Organic Credenza Made from River Rescued Ancient Wood
By Tréology
Located in Papanui, Christchurch
The Ebb & Flow credenza was inspired by our observations of an ocean worn cliff face on the wild West Coast of New Zealand. Our search for design inspiration took us on an adventure to the Truman Track - a walk through unspoiled subtropical forest where ancient native trees tower above thickets of vine and palms. The track emerges on a spectacular coastline with cliffs, caverns, and a waterfall that plummets straight onto a rock-strewn beach.
The Ebb & Flow credenza is our representation of the powerful ocean forces that have shaped the natural landscape of New Zealand. The credenza is made from a matai tree (New Zealand native tree) rescued from a river on the West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand. This sustainable timber, naturally felled by nature, has been carbon dated at over 1500 years old. The trees location co-ordinates are inscribed on a stainless Tréology tag and attached to the credenza, connecting the owner to a unique piece of New Zealand nature.
The credenza has two hinged doors with an adjustable timber shelf...
