Mid 19th century inlaid walnut breakfront credenza sideboard circa 1850
We are pleased to offer this stunning profusely inlaid sideboard. Breakfront shaped and offering 3 glazed doors for display and storage.
Burr walnut top surface, decorated with stringing and cross banded with kingwood and kingwood moulded edge. Decorative ormolu mouldings and mounts encase the inlaid freize below the top surface. 3 glazed doors sit between 4 turned, inlaid with further brass mount embellishments. Each cupboard with 3 fixed shelves and currently lined with brown paper. Raised on a plinth base with cartouche shaped inlay.
Beautiful quality piece maintaining it's original patina. Working locks and original key.
Surface marks to top surface, natural expected daylight fading to the front and minor surface marks in line with age and use. Overall very good condition and ready for everyday use.
