About the Item
Finely crafted pair of bow front chests with pink marble conforming tops. The fronts with two apron drawers in herringbone parquetry with marquetry foliate framing bands. The lower double doors with conforming parquetry and marquetry, along with marquetry ovals with neoclassical portraits and leafy frames. The doors open to two drawers with pale ovals and dark leafy borders. The sides of the chests with panels with the same decoration as the doors. The parquetry striped supports with floral motifs above and below. Raised on square tapering legs with brass caps. With Sotheby's New York label.

Condition: Please see detail photos. Lacking a key. One cabinet right door and left panel cracked, some scrapes to the legs, cracks on one skirt molding, chip to one marble edge slight veneer loss to a top edge mentioned for accuracy as the presentation remains magnificent.
