About the Item

Teak credenza with center adjustable shelf. Beautiful original condition and ready to use. Amazing grain throughout, with original sticker to finished back; Denmark 1960s. Designed by Peter Løvig Nielsen, with "Løvig" incorporated to the original sticker. This piece comes with two original sliding glass doors that have been temporarily removed to avoid glare in the photography of the piece. Our clients often prefer Scandinavian furniture without glass for ease of access to stored items. We are happy to re-install the glass prior to shipping at buyer's request. Born in 1925, Peter Løvig Nielsen was a renowned Danish furniture designer and manufacturer who founded Løvig Dansk Mobelkunst. He made significant contributions to mid-20th century Danish furniture design, known for his modernist approach characterized by clean lines, functionalism, and the use of natural materials typical of Scandinavian design. Løvig’s designs are celebrated for their timeless aesthetic and meticulous craftsmanship, embodying the essence of Scandinavian design principles that remain highly valued to this day.
