Rare Vintage 1960s McIntosh Sideboard by Tom Robertson – A Collector's Gem
An exceptional opportunity to own one of the most sought-after vintage pieces by Scottish designer Tom Robertson for McIntosh — this stunning 1960s sideboard is a true mid-century modern classic.
Crafted in beautifully aged teak, this piece features:
Three drawers with elegant brass pull handles
A spacious cupboard section
A cleverly designed drinks cabinet with a functional pull-out shelf – perfect for entertaining
This model is extremely rare — since starting my business, I’ve only come across two, and I’m lucky enough to have both available right now. They are identical in design, with one being just slightly darker in tone than the other — the difference is minimal and only noticeable in certain lighting.
Both are in very good original condition, showing only light signs of age and use — a testament to their quality and care over the decades.

Tom Robertson
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 19, 1911, Thomas Robertson was known for his stylized portraits in the 1930s. His work evolved into non-objective imagery in the 1940s. Robertson studied serigraphy in New Orleans in the 1930s and began to concentrate on printmaking around the 1940s. Robertson became an advocate of prints as affordable original works of art and presented lectures demonstrating the silkscreen technique. Robertson lived the remainder of his life in the small town of Albion in Northern California, where he died on May 25, 1976.
