About the Item
A fine hand made 19th Century painted country pine step back cupboard. The shelves are fixed in place and not adjustable. Constructed from Eastern knotty pine from Upstate New York. Forged square headed nail joinery. Features deep shelf storage. Bluish green paint with hints of orange and brown undercoats.
The cupboard is in good overall condition with multiple coats of distressed paint. Structurally sound and sturdy design. There have been later additions regarding hardware and this adds to the piece's charm. Overall cosmetic wear due to age and use. Some chips and minor losses to the wood. Checked and crazed paint surface. Interior staining.
The cabinet measures approximately 18" deep x 44" wide x 72.5" high. The top portion measures approximately 12.75" deep.
