About the Item
Large cupboard hand-made in the Netherlands in the 1800s using oak and pegged construction. Despite being pretty large the cupboard has a very delicate and elegant look because of both the nice rounded lines of the molding, the bombay bottom as well as the beautiful light color and patina. The cupboard has four inset drawers that follow the rounded bombay shape. On the inside the cupboard features two shelves, two hanging drawers and three, smaller, inset drawers resting on the bottom structure. As shown in the video each component of the cupboard works well and can be used for storage and daily use. On the inside, the cupboard is painted a beautiful deep blue, whereas on the outside it features a fresh and light white paint highlighted by the light blue tones of the underlying paint. The texture of the patina is gorgeous.
Overall this is a large piece that provides plenty usable space as well as decoration wherever it is placed. despite its large size, the light color will allow it to blend well with other furniture while not taking over a room, but still provide decoration on a large wall or space. This is an elegant piece that provides storage, beauty and a timeless look all in one.
