A good antique French late 18th century carved Louis XV walnut buffet, circa 1780.
This elegant country French Provincial buffet from the Normandy area of France, the two door two drawer buffet having hand forged iron escutcheons to both the drawers and doors, the locks function and a key is present. The paneled doors with twin barrel hinges and enclosing a single shelf, the shaped skirt is finely carved with a flowering basket and the buffet is raised on carved scrolled cabriole legs.
Condition is very good, the buffet is very sturdy, internally clean and aroma free and ready to use, it has just lovingly received a wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops and has a warm mellow honey colored patina. This elegant late 18th century French buffet is ready to grace your space.

A good & substantial antique French Lyonnaise carved walnut Provincial three drawer commode chest, in the Regence style, Lyon, France, circa 1730.
The commode being of serpentine form and having three large drawers, each drawer is carved with Rococo scrolls and shell motifs, the drawers with gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. The commode is raised on short cabriole feet, as is common with these chests from Lyon, they are larger in size and have plenty of drawer space for storage. The drawers run smooth, clean and free from aroma and ready to store clothes or bedding, the chest is in good condition and is ready to grace your home.
