About the Item

A beautiful hand carved solid oak kitchen cabinet It has a recessed upper part for the display of plates and cups. The lower cabinet features a fixed shelf and the doors are decorated with geometric chip carving and rosettes. The cabinet has a rural appearance typical for this type of Spanish furniture. The cabinet has the original hand forged hinges and lock with key. All hinges are slightly different from each other and the keyplate looks like it was tilted. However this is original to the piece and contributes to the rural look and feel of the piece. The cabinet has a wonderful dark warm brown color and a stunning patina. It has been cleaned in our workshop and small repairs to the lock and back cladding were done. It is now in a very good usable and authentic condition.

  • Condition:
    Repaired: parts of the back cladding of the bottom part were repaired. Wear consistent with age and use. The cabinet is in very good authentic condition and has been professionally cleaned and repaired. Small repairs were done to the lower part of the back cladding. Also, a new spring was installed in the lock. The wax layer of the piece was refreshed.
