About the Item

This is an antique French glass cabinet. The top door is made of ripple glass, and its unique, slightly wavy distortion conveys the craftsmanship and elegance of the time. This "wavering" creates a soft refraction of light that cannot be replicated in modern industrial products, adding a poetic atmosphere to the space. Unfortunately, one of the glass panes is broken and has been replaced with a modern one. The handle is fitted with a pumpkin-shaped white porcelain knob, securely fastened with a metal screw. Its warm feel and simple, refined form evoke a timeless charm. The bottom shelf shows peeling and scuffing paint from years of use, beautifully revealing traces of life back in the day against the brown-black base color. The seemingly accidental pattern lends a sense of depth reminiscent of an abstract painting.
