About the Item

This unique storage unit was handcrafted in England during the 1780’s from solid oak, which has now taken on a deep, mahogany tone adding to the historic character. The upper cabinet door has thick, raised panel carvings opening by iron latch to an interior with a single shelf. A newly installed rectangular mirror to the back of the work surface is flanked by curved brackets, connecting the upper and lower storage spaces. The lower cabinet houses a single drawer with a large turned knob above a paneled door with two shelves inside. A plinth base supports the whole, anchoring the tall and narrow proportions.
