This piece is exquisite, please look at the Sheraton inlay, I have never seen it on this type of furniture before, it is sublime! Housekeepers cupboards were used for the staff and servants in their quarters to store linens in, they were worker day pieces made in Pine usually, this is in oak with sublime inlay which as mentioned, its one of a kind, this must have been used in the main house and not hidden away and the owner wanted something really special
The linen shelves were removed many years ago and a rail fitted to the top so it can be used for normal hanging cloths, the top row of drawers are faux and give extra height to the hanging cloths, the bottom three rows are all full depth drawers
We have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be some small losses and general patina all over as you would expect
