About the Item
We sourced this striking antique, mid 19th Century cupboard in Florence, Italy.
Originally it was painted, but it was rather on the plain side so we have re-painted it with this giant harlequin design, breathing new life into a classic piece. The green is 'Bancha' by Farrow and Ball paints.
Originally dating from mid 19th Century, the cupboard retains its elegant shape and timeless character, while the updated paintwork adds a contemporary twist.
Inside, the cupboard offers practical storage with shelves, making it as useful as it is decorative.
It also features its original chunky key and working lock, which is a lovely authentic detail.
The proportions are excellent—ideal for a hallway, kitchen, or living space where one wants to an interesting piece but also lots of storage.
