About the Item

Mid 19th century rustic Scandinavian painted cupboard circa 1860. We are pleased to offer this rustic Swedish kitchen cupboard in original condition. Traditional original Swedish blue paint, embellished with hand painted florals to each door front.  Rectangular top with moulded edge.  Double door cupboard with working lock and key, opens to reveal 3 fixed shelves and 1 shallow one, also a space where one has been before.  Standing on block feet. Obvious fading and losses to original paintwork, which has now taken on a desirable shabby look.  Structurally strong and ready for everyday use.  Old repairs to back boards.
