About the Item

A attractive Primitive cupboard with original faux bois paintwork. This decorative technique was used to imitate more expensive woodspecies or, as in this case, for decoration and protection. All hinges and interior shelves are original. Although signed by time this piece of furniture is structurally solid. Made from pinewood in the early 19th century Pyrinees by local craftsman it reflects the passed down knowledge of proportions and joinery.
