Charming painted pine cupboard, dated 1844, a fine example of Alpine / Rhenish folk furniture from the 19th century. This one-door bonnetière is decorated with two floral panels featuring stylized flower bouquets in vases on a faded blue ground, framed by uprights adorned with painted vine and floral motifs. The piece retains its original polychrome decoration, beautifully softened by time.
Inside, the cupboard preserves its authentic rustic layout, with small drawers, shelves and compartments, combining charm and practicality. Its aged patina and natural wear highlight the unique character of this rare survivor of rural craftsmanship.
