About the Item
It’s been a while since we offered a Czech food cupboard for sale and this is the larger of two pieces we have found for this shipment. They are utilitarian pieces, normally showing little or no decoration, but usually featuring some nice construction techniques. This one has a particularly nice etched brass escutcheon plate The case accommodates, on the left, four equal depth square hand-cut dovetailed inset drawers with turned hardwood knobs. On the right there is a flat paneled overlay door that opens a full 180 degrees on French-style fiche hinges. This grants easy access to the two shelves, equally spaced inside.
