About the Item

Like a bucket bench with doors, this little utilitarian cupboard, with a 2” high gallery around its top edge, would have been used to store buckets or other vessels on top and scullery-related items inside. As such it would have seen a good deal of use which explains the degree of wear to the off-white paint, rubbed through all over to an earlier light brown. Two paneled doors open wide to a single original shelf. Such a piece has a multitude of uses all around the house, from a bedside table to a bookshelf as well as those for which it was originally intended.
