About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely circa 1820 original French antique pot cupboard One of the best things I’ve seen all year, a 200+ year old period French country farmhouse pot cupboard. The cupboard comes with the original key which does work on the right day! The piece is solid Fruitwood which has a sublime patination. The timber is simply glorious In terms of the condition really this piece is all about the age look and feel so there is plenty of patina but it all adds to the charm and charisma. We have treated it three times with worm treatment to be on the safe side as there was some very old signs, the timber has then all been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom. The internal shelves look to be later replacements Dimensions Height 142cm Width 138.5cm Depth 48.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
