About the Item

71 5/8 x 35 5/8 x 28.75". Lehigh Leopold circa 1970. May be used as a conference table or executive desk. An exceptional piece of furniture, over engineered and industrial strength. The 1" brushed steel legs are complimented by an H-Base compromised of thick and large solid 1/2" thick x 3" wide aluminum stretchers bolted into place with large gauge hex bolts in 5 points beneath the table. The top is walnut. Entirely restored with a new conversion varnish finish to the walnut and protective clear coat to the steel and aluminum elements. This is a very heavy table and new adjustable feet have been added. Masculine and modern with sleek smart lines. This piece would suit a minimalist architectural designed space and use as a dining table or reception desk are also possible. Signed with metal label to underside. Produced circa 1970's judging by the materials. Ward Bennett designed for Lehigh and while we do not know the designer, this design fits with Bennett's ethos.
