About the Item

A lovely and well-crafted Jugendstil desk in pine with upper cabinet resting over a writing table offering open shelving closed storage. Top has a carved bonnet with stylized flowers and open carvings with turned finials on the corners. Writing table offers one long storage drawer and rests on bulbous turned legs. Carved tulips decorate the doors, drawer and corner blocks. Desk comes with brass key plates bales, working locks and (2) keys; one for the top doors one for the drawer. Germany, circa 1890. Measurements: 43 1/4" wide x 26 1/2" deep x 61 1/2" high (31" height of surface from floor). Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
