Rare and important early 19th Century desk handcrafted in calamander wood featuring two organizers on the banded top with brass supports, nine banded drawers with English dovetailing and exceptional brass hardware, a discreet kneehole cabinet, and classic turned feet on brass casters. This desk was likely made in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka. A remarkable Dutch Colonial piece with English influence.
