About the Item
A superb example of an early Irish Mahogany Georgian Demi-Lune fold-over games table of outstanding museum quality. Made in Ireland during the last quarter of the Eighteenth century.
The double hinged surface panel opening to reveal a dark burgundy woven fabric playing surface lining which has been professionally re-done.
Supported on four cabriole legs with typical Irish shell and scroll hand carved detailing, all ending on stylized ball and claw feet.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, professionally re-polished.
Measures: Width: (at top) 31.5" (80cm). Depth: (at top center) 15.5” (39.5cm). Height: (entire) 29” (74cm).
