Circa 1830-60 lap desk writing box on custom side table stand, English. Highly figured walnut with full brass bindings (with wear), engraving shield (unused) escutcheon. Antique, worn purple leather writing surface with tooling gilt tooling. Lacks interior drawers. Now on custom, cross-stretchered, side table height stand. With stand overall: 18.5" w., 10 7/8" d., 22.5" h. We are a family business that has been a major source for the selective buyer for over 90 years.
