About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this very fine fully, Antique circa 1880, Burr Walnut twin pedestal partner desk with hand dyed brown leather top. What a desk….. these cushion curved drawer desks almost never come up for sale, they are based on early Regency pieces which screamed English fine furniture. This desk has the original leather top and handles, it is one of the best looking desks I’ve had in stock for some time. The desk leather is oval which is very rare, it adds a sense of occasion to the top! The handles are actually earlier than the desk, they are polished brass and Georgian circa 1800 It’s been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, it will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect Dimensions Height:- 77cm Width:- 126cm Depth:- 65cm Inside leg space Height:- 64.5cm Width:- 56cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
