About the Item

A monumental and sophisticated executive desk manufactured by Dunbar Furniture of Berne, Indiana. Designed during the Roger Sprunger era, this piece embodies the transition from mid-century warmth to the bold, architectural forms of the late 20th century. It features a beautifully grained walnut top supported by two oversized matching wood plinth bases, creating a powerful "floating" aesthetic. Rich American Walnut veneer with a warm, hand-rubbed finish. The desk is finished on all sides, allowing it to be placed in the center of a room. Includes discrete "disappearing" drawers within the apron. Signature metal "D" tag or Dunbar label located inside the top drawer. Minor repairs at two corners and appear exaggerated in photos, additional photos if requested.
