We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning circa 1800-1820 original Georgian / Regency Military campaign desk with large top map drawer A very well made piece in fine mahogany with all the original fixtures and fittings including the side carry handles. The desk has one large top drawer known as a map drawer, I’ve had two or three of these before, much later in date though, and they were all naval desks so it’s a safe assumption this is as well We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it has a wonderful period patina, there is nothing unexpected, just good honest wear from 200+ years of use Dimensions Height:- 90cm Width:- 127.5cm Depth:- 60cm Knee space Height:- 64.5cm Width:- 59.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
