Very rare Art Deco Norman Bel Geddes desk or vanity and Skyscraper mirror by Simmons, circa 1930. Marked on bottom of the mirror and cabinet 5-33. The mirror design is based off the Chrysler building in NYC. It also was on display at Chicago’s Century of Progress Exposition. This iconic piece is one of the most famous examples from the Machine Age. It can be found in most of the publications on Art Deco and Modern design. Beautifully restored gloss Black and re-chromed. One minor ding on the chrome band on front of cabinet. Dimensions: 30 H, 44 W and 19 D.
