About the Item

Hand-made in Italy, circa 1950s or 60s, this gorgeous 5-drawer Louis XV or Bombay style desk in Italian walnut burl with antiqued brass hardware. This desk has been in my collections for several years. Purchased in an upscale Long Island home. It is in very good vintage and original condition. No breaks or repairs. Warm satin sheen lacquered finish that I recently burnished with wax. The top has an even writing surface that features a very attractive patchwork pattern. Drawers work well with clean interiors. Lock and key present for center drawer. No looseness in the legs. Desk does not wobble. This desk looks incredible at every angle. You will love the styling, condition, and functionality of this piece! Kneehole Dimensions: 23.5x18 in.
