About the Item

Early 18th century wonderfully hand-carved oak dresser base from England. The top has a beveled edge, following down to simple sides and an unusual configuration in the front of the case. There are three drawers on the left hand side of the case, all with beautifully detailed hand carved drawer fronts. On the right hand side, there is a single drawer at the top, which is also hand carved decorated and hs the initials W D and a date of 1720. This drawer is over a single door, which is tombstone shaped and heavily molded and hand carved as well. This is an absolute stunner, and would be the focal point of any room in which it is placed.
