Italy, 1940's
Original limed oak frame and drawers floating on a beautiful scalloped base that undulates from point to point.
Carved wood knobs are custom made and concave in same wood as cabinet.
Every detail is beautifully crafted.

Guglielmo Pecorini
Guglielmo Pecorini, known for carved wood accessories shaped like fruit or nuts as well as furniture designs, was highly regarded in his day, and his small body of artisanal work turns up at major auctions such as Wright today. He is pictured at work in his small atelier in Italy at Work (1955) and his chairs are shown along with Craft productions by peers such as Carlo Mollino, Fontana Arte, Azucena, Cesare Lacca and casa e Giardino.
