We are pleased to present this fine antique Italian chest of drawers dating back to the mid-19th century. Crafted from solid walnut, this chest of drawers boasts a sturdy construction that ensures its durability, while its light tone gives it a versatile aesthetic that suits both classic and modern interiors.
Crafted during the Louis Philippe period, this chest of drawers has a clean and simple design that also suits modern furnishings. It has been professionally restored in our workshops, with a conservative approach that aims to recover the overall aesthetic without erasing the natural signs of time. The finish present accentuates the beautiful grain of the walnut wood that creates a very particular effect on the front.
The functionality is excellent, with three large and practical drawers that offer ample storage space plus a small drawer at the top. The first small drawer has a particular wavy line that adds a slight movement to the overall aesthetic. The beautiful gilded bronze handles with a light chiselled decoration make the appearance very sophisticated.
Although this chest of drawers was created to be placed in the bedroom, today thanks to its elegance and story to tell it can be placed in any room of the house where it can be admired by all your guests.
