Georgian 18th century oak dresser base and spice drawers circa 1750.
We are pleased to offer this dresser which retains it's original spice drawers.
6 spice drawers with cross banded edging, turned brass handles and key plates, original locks but no key. 2 plank top surface with moulded edge. With 3 large drawers of the same cross banding fitted with brass swan neck handles. Raised panels to the sides, all over a shaped apron and 4 turned legs.
Ideal piece for the hallway or country kitchen.
Restoration to moulding on 1 drawer front. Replaced drawer linings to the 3 main drawers. Later brass handles and hardware which was a common thing in line with fashions. Evidence of dead inactive treated wood worm to feet, underneath spice drawers on 1 end. Expecting surface marks and minor losses. Recently re-polished in our workshop, strong and sturdy and ready for everyday use.
