Late 18th C English Mahogany Chest on Chest.
Late Georgian period Circa 1800. Solid, figured, Honduran mahogany. Mostly original hardware and original bracket feet and back boards.
Beautiful full boards with an old finish brought up by paste wax. Excellent figured boards (no bad warps) with expressive grain. Drawer runners secure with essential rebuilding. Drawers, hardware word well. "Chest on chest" comprised of two separate chests with drawers. Easy to move in two pieces.
A stately piece cable of holding the weight of full drawers.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. A small amount of beading is off one drawer and a tooth on the dentil moulding on the top right side. Feet, back, drawers, cases are very secure. Hardware secure. This is an old natural finish brought up bye paste wax. The finish is old / unrestored.
