About the Item

Sumptuous walnut-veneered chest of drawers, embellished with fruitwood and pastiglia inlays, a technique typical of the Lombard cabinetmaking school. The chest of drawers features truncated pyramid legs, characteristic of the period, and a linear, elegant shape. It has three drawers, including a smaller one positioned under the top, and two larger, ergonomic drawers ideal for storing objects, opened by bronze pulls. The great refinement of this chest of drawers lies in its rich and detailed inlay decoration, which extends across the front, legs, sides, and top, featuring geometric and plant motifs. This is a piece of furniture of great taste and quality, capable of furnishing any space with class and refinement. Lombardy manufacture (Lombardy, Italy), likely attributable to the school of cabinetmaker Giuseppe Maggiolini, neoclassical period, around the end of the 18th century.
