About the Item

Elegant chest of drawers with a sliding desk, veneered in fine walnut. The chest of drawers has truncated pyramid legs, typical of the late 18th century, while the exterior and columns reflect the style and period of the Empire of the early 19th century. The front is decorated with two ebonized columns and consists of three drawers, equipped with handles in lost-wax cast bronze. The last two drawers are ergonomic, ideal for storing objects, while the first drawer opens like a writing desk, thanks to a hinge that lowers the top, and has additional small compartments in light wood and a work surface covered in leather. This beautiful chest of drawers is able to furnish any room with refinement and elegance. Italian manufacture of the Empire period, between the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
