Originally hailing from India, the sculptor completed degrees in painting, sculpting, and product design at the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao University before moving to the U.S. for his M.A. in Sculpture at Wayne State University and M.A. in Fine Art at Cranbrook in 1965. His final year at Cranbrook in Michigan was the year he completed this piece. The piece is in excellent condition with a fine patina.
