About the Item
This dresser was designed by Henning Korch for the cabinetmaker C.F. Christensen in Silkeborg. It is constructed in rosewood with expressive palisander veneer creating a continuous surface so the natural grain becomes a defining element of the piece.
The façade is organised with a series of drawers, each fitted with small brass handles that offer a contrast to the depth and tone of the rosewood.
Furniture produced in collaboration with the master cabinetmaker C.F. Christensen is particularly well regarded, combining precise craftsmanship with a refined understanding of wood. This dresser is a representative example of that partnership, where expressive rosewood veneer and discreet brass fittings are brought together in a functional piece firmly rooted in Danish mid century design.
