About the Item

Finland, ca. 1950s. A rare and early Model 901 tea trolley or bar cart by Alvar Aalto for Artek. Features a solid birch frame with black linoleum shelving and large white lacquered wooden wheels - fitted with rubber treads. Originally debuted at the Milan Triennial in 1936, this practical yet playful design is perfect for entertaining - or as an unexpected side table, low console table, etc. Remarkably functional, we were especially drawn to this example’s honest patina and untouched original finish. Stamp to underside attests to age of production. Overall very good vintage condition with appropriate wear as shown in photographs. Quite special. Dimensions: 35.5” wide x 19.75” deep x 22” high.
