About the Item

Designed with sculptural rigour and a craftsman's sensitivity, this bar by Giuseppe Rivadossi reflects a profound respect for material and form. Signed by the artist, it encapsulates Rivadossi’s dedication to architecture and handwork, where furniture transcends function. Design Constructed in Slavonian oak, the bar's presence is defined by its geometric rhythm and tactile depth. The façade features vertical carved channels that modulate the surface in a language reminiscent of architectural reliefs, an approach central to Rivadossi’s work since the 1970s. These not only emphasise the volume but also engage with light, casting gentle shadows that shift throughout the day. The top curves with quiet elegance, inviting use while softening the linear composition. Discreet insets are little 'windows', subtly integrated into the wood grain and underscoring Rivadossi’s preference for understated detail over ornamentation. The rear reveals a practical arrangement of shelves, drawers, and closed storage, offering both structure and utility without interrupting the purity of its form. Condition The bar is in very good condition, with light signs of use appropriate to its age. The finish and joints are well preserved, and all compartments function as intended.
