About the Item

Organic Modern Dry Bar, Attributed to Pacific Green, Late 20th Century At the time of posting we are offering up to six Matching Pacific Green bar stools available separately, Listing ID: LU2592348274992 This sculptural Organic Modern dry bar, attributed to Pacific Green and dating to the late 20th century, is a masterful example of the firm’s signature fusion of natural materials, refined craftsmanship, and globally informed modern design. Conceived as a freestanding architectural form rather than a simple case piece, the bar presents a gently faceted, almost horseshoe-like profile that wraps the user in warmth and texture while maintaining a strong rectilinear presence. The structure is executed in a sophisticated palette of palmwood, bamboo, and finely woven rattan, with traditional leather bindings employed at key junctions both as reinforcement and as a visible decorative element. The case is framed by bundled bamboo uprights and curved corner returns, creating a softened geometry that contrasts elegantly with the crisp, dark-stained palmwood top. The top surface is generously proportioned for service and display, with subtly rounded edges that echo the organic language of the frame. The front elevation is articulated with layered bands of rattan and palmwood, accented by delicate diamond-shaped inlay motifs—an understated decorative signature seen across Pacific Green’s higher-end cabinetry. A horizontal bamboo footrest, positioned 9.5 inches off the ground, enhances both functionality and visual balance, reinforcing the bar’s intended use while contributing to its grounded, architectural stance. Internally, the bar is thoughtfully fitted for practical use. A 27-inch-wide by 5-inch-high drawer sits above the central compartment, ideal for bar tools and accessories, while a discreet metal bottle cradle beneath provides secure storage. Below, two open shelves offer ample space for bottles or glassware, flanked by two tall side cabinets concealed behind woven rattan doors, suitable for additional storage or larger bar items. The interior surfaces are finished in warm wood tones, emphasizing craftsmanship even in unseen areas. Designed to function equally well as a cocktail bar, serving console, or statement piece in a living or entertaining space, this dry bar exemplifies Pacific Green’s commitment to sustainability, artisanal technique, and timeless modern form. It pairs naturally with the matching Pacific Green bar stools yet stands confidently on its own as a sculptural focal point.
