About the Item
This 1960s cabinet, titled the 'Cortina' is Swedish in origin and was designed by Svante Skogh for Säffle Möbelfabrik.
It is set on a very elegant slimline hardwood frame, with tapered legs finished with brass feet that match the decorative curved handles of the five drawers. This brass hardware also extends to the body of the cabinet, with a brass trim framing the sliding glass door panels. The glass doors feature sleek recessed handles and can be opened to access a small glass shelf in the centre of the cabinet. The drawers have a wonderful grain-matched veneer surface, as well as blonde interiors and crafted dovetail joinery.
