About the Item

American Classical mahogany graduated linen press with a carved molded edge cornice, upper case having flanking hinged figural mahogany book matched doors revealing two fitted interior shelves, and two drawers with the original foliage brasses. Lower case having four graduated drawers with the original wooden knobs, flanking carved columns consisting of pineapple, basket weave, acanthus foliage, and resting on the original acanthus foliage lions paw feet. Secondary wood consist of poplar throughout. Norfolk, VA. Early 19th Century.
