About the Item
Stunning, hand carved, 18th century, parquetry inlaid and veneered, bonnet top, two-part secretary from the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. The two-door top cabinet sits above a serpentine, bow-front base featuring a scrolling apron, and delicate feet. The whole fitted out with original escutcheons and drawer pulls. Published in the 1994 book, “Antique Furniture of Emilia-Romagna” published by Poligrafico Artioli, Modena, Italy.
