About the Item
An Italian inlaid Venetian-style secretaire, circa 1960. Decorated throughout with walnut veneers, the drop front desk and two serpentine drawers are inlaid with satinwood marquetry urns and scrolled acanthus. The writing desk locks with the original key, and a simply carved serpentine skirt trims the base of the secretaire. Restrained cabriole legs finish in cuffed feet.
